Vidyamount Public School was originally established in the year 2003 by Paramount Educational Trust, Registered under the provisions of Indian Trust Act, 1882 for an unlimited period. Since June 2015, the prestigious institution came under the management of the MGM Group of Schools. Mar Gregorios Memorial Group of Schools is an educational initiative of Dr. Geevarghese Yohannan, established in the memory of the late Yohannan Geevarghese, the illustrious Founder. Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, MGM Vidyamount Public School promotes value-based education that is global in character but rooted in the time-tested tradition and cultural consciousness of India. MGM management and teaching faculty are of the firm view that even while emerging trends and concepts have their privileged position in facilitating quality education in today's technology-driven world, the strong inter-personal relationship between the teacher and the learner should not be pushed backward. The school is located amid green and serene surroundings at Chempakakunnu, about 1.5 km west of Mangalapuram Junction and close to the Mangalapuram-Murukkampuzha road.

The day to day functions of the school is managed by Trust, Registered under the provisions of Indian Trust Act, 1882 for an unlimited period. The trust is a council chaired by Chairman and supported by Vice-Chairman. All the management decisions are subject to the approval of the Trust.
